Hello, and welcome to GoCodes! This training will explain how to add attachments like photos, pdf files and more to your Assets & Tasks.

Adding Attachments to your Assets

1. First log in to your GoCodes account and view your ‘Asset List.’

2. Select an asset you want to update.

3. Click the ‘Asset ID’ to view the ‘Asset Detail’ screen.

4. Scroll down past the ‘Messages’ section and you will see a section called ‘Documents’ that comes with a paperclip icon and click ‘Attach’.

5. You can now click ‘Choose File’ to select the file that you want to attach to this asset. Once you have selected a file, you’ll see its file name in the field entitled ‘Name.’ You may add a ‘Description,’ too.

6. Click the ‘Upload’ button to attach the file to the asset. You can now view the attachment that you added.

7. To delete the attachment or view the date and person who added the attachment, open up the three dots menu that’s located to the right.

Adding Attachments to Tasks

When viewing the ‘Asset Detail’ screen, you can add an attachment to a ‘Task’. Simply:

1. Scroll down to the ‘Tasks’ section and click on the three-dot menu on the right side of the ‘Task’ that you want to use.

2. Click the option ‘Attach File’, which you will see in the menu.

3. Click ‘Choose File’ to select the file you wish to attach and open the file. If desired, you may edit the ‘Name’ and ‘Description’ of the attachment.

4. Click ‘Upload’ to link the attachment to the ‘Task’. You’ll now see the attachment under the ‘Task’ information.

5. To delete the attachment or view the person who added it, just click the three dots menu on the right side of the attachment.

That’s it!
