Order Processing Summary

Here's a summary of the steps we take once you place an order with GoCodes. This will help you understand the information we need from you to complete your order and how long each steps usually takes. With this information, you can estimate how long it will take to get your custom labels.

1) Customer places order by completing payment or PO

2) GoCodes immediately sends an Onboarding Email market URGENT ACTION REQUIRED, the email contains simple instructions a link to a form where you provide your label shipping information and details for what you want printed on your labels.

3) Once we receive the information from the form, we create a digital pdf proof design of your label and email it to you. Allow 1 business day.

4) You either reply to the proof email with APPROVE or requested changes.

5) Once APPROVED, we print/manufacture and ship your custom labels. Regular light duty poly labels are shipped in 2 business days. Other custom labels are shipped in 10 business days.

6) Most US Shipping is via UPS Ground and takes 4 days. We use DHL for international orders which also take around 4 days to arrive.

Label Options

GoCodes has three options for labels, each with unique advantages.

1 - Print Your Own Labels

All GoCodes accounts allow customers to print their own labels or temporary labels on an office LaserJet printer using an Avery 6576 label template. You can even print some for testing on regular paper. The advantage of this option is the speed to get going and the ability to reprint as needed. The main disadvantage is the lower quality of the labels and lack of customization. They all have a standard GoCodes design.

2 - Standard 2 x 1 Inch Poly Labels

Next up, our standard 2 x 1 inch BS5609 standard poly labels are water and chemical resistant, can be customized with your unique text and logo and are printed in under 2 days from proof approval. In many cases we can print and ship them the same day we receive your proof approval. These labels are included as standard in all Premium and higher level account orders and work well in a wide range of customer applications. The disadvantages are they may not be tough enough for extended outdoor use or harsh operating environments.

3 - Custom Labels

Lastly, we offer custom label specs that include metal and metal foil, custom sizes, hang-tags and more. These can be fully customized to your unique project requirements and in most cases ship in 10 business days from proof approval. In some cases the manufacture process can expedited for an additional charge. The advantage of these labels is the flexible range of options that can be configured for your unique needs, the disadvantages are the longer lead time and additional cost.

Shipping Options

Shipping Domestic US

Our Premium and higher accounts include custom 2 x 1 inch poly labels and are shipped via UPS Ground to the continental United States. In most cases they arrive in around 4-5 days from shipment. Customers have the option to choose expedited shipping with next day service available for an additional charge.

Shipping International

We ship our label to international customers using either UPS or DHL and in most cases they arrive within 4 days depending on local import and customs processing times. If there are local import duties, handling charges and sales taxes due, they are the responsibility of the customer.

How to ensure my labels arrive as quickly as possible?

1 - Provide the onboarding information soon after you order

Once you order, look out for an email message marked ACTION REQUIRED which includes a link to a form where we collect your label design information, shipping information and a few more details required to complete your order. We cannot start the label proof design process until we receive this information from you. We send periodic reminders as needed. Not seen these emails? Check your spam folder and whitelist gocodes.com. They are sent from our ERP system, so even if you have received emails from us before these emails could still be marked as spam.

2 - Approve your proof label design promptly

Once we receive your onboarding information, we complete your label design proof. We then send you an email with an Adobe PDF label design attached. You must reply with any change or mark it as approved before we start the print/manufacture process. As before, if you have completed the onboarding information and not seen your proof design check your spam folder just in case.
