The GoCodes Model B Tracker is a powerful, rugged and flexible real-time GPS tracker with a long battery life and advanced tracking features.

We ship your trackers to you. They will arrive already set up, configured & tested with your GoCodes account. Just search for 'GPS Tracker' in the GoCodes web software to see them in your account.

When you're ready to get started, you can Edit the Asset information so that it shows the specific equipment that will have the tracker installed.

To activate the tracker, simply remove the tape from its underbelly. The tape holds a small magnet in place. Once the magnet is removed, the tracker will activate and start reporting location data.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you activate your trackers in a location with good cell phone service and an unobstructed view of the sky (near a large window is ideal). When they first start, they will download firmware updates, cell service data, configuration data and satalite data. Please leave the trackers in this location for up to 24 hours, until you start receiving map data.

When stationary, the GPS tracker will send a heartbeat location update every 12 hours. When motion is detected, the tracker will wake up and check the GPS location. If it has not moved since the prior time that it updated, it will sleep again until either it detects motion or it's time for a heartbeat update.

When in motion, the tracker will capture location information every 2 minutes and upload the locations that were captured every 30 minutes. These settings are design to balance tracker performance with battery life. If needed, we can customize these settings based on the specific requirements of your project.

We recommend installing your trackers in a location where they can receive a strong GPS signal. Avoid enclosing them in metal containers or deep inside your equipment.
